Whales Die on the Moon

And I made another Icelandic artwork! 🇮🇸 <3

Title: Whales Die on the Moon.

30x24 cm acrylic on canvas, the street is called Klapparstígur in Reykjavik and the Church is also from Reykjavik, it's name is Hallgrímskirkja, a dead whale on the moon, with another whale swimming and flying to the moon holding a cross.

Asmar Tiba
Artist | Hobbyist
Asmar Tiba is a painter and an LGBT activist, born in Damascus, Syria in 1997.

As a teenager, Asmar had to move into another country, was forced into a world where there was very little support to be found and no one to rely on but himself.
Since arriving in Istanbul, Asmar has been working different part-time jobs to independently support himself.
While attending high-school, Asmar used to make some pencil drawings, homo-erotic sketches on his notebooks, mostly pencil drawings of nude girls or 2 men kissing, but because of the community he was living in, it wasn't easy to show what kind of art he makes.

Asmar plays online video games with people from different countries, which made him create a community of online people from different countries, where he shares his artworks and sometimes sells them.

His most recent artworks are hard to explain, or have many secrets, what inspires him is the possibilities of combinations a person can make in an artwork, inspired by a mixture between human psychological thoughts and their architecture backgrounds.

~Art helps me fight my depression
